8/29/25 FIG SEASON UPDATE: Our orchard is slowing down dramatically. There will be a slow ripening over the next two weeks. As we see enough figs for you pick we will release limited appointments for you to book. Mark your calendars for next year! Fig picking will start the last week of July 2026 and is projected to peak during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of August 2026.
This has been an incredible fig year! We are currently planting 12 additional trees and expect them to be in production in two years by 2027 if all goes well. Stay tuned! You should consider planting fig trees too! We have trees for sale. Check out the Lowe's in Concord too! Last year I found a great selection of fig trees there.

"What an amazing and relaxing experience. I learned so much and didn't know there were so many types of figs with different taste. I learned how to determine when figs are ready to pick, how long figs can sit before preparing, and was even given a few recipes! Thank you Farmer Larry for the white glove service! I'll be back!"

"Our guided fig picking tour and tasting was amazing. Take the whole family... figs are here for a good time, not a long time."

These are the 4 fig varieties we currently have in production on our farm. Our main orchard contains 13 trees approximately nine years old as of 2025. We are in our 4th season of you pick figs. Our "mother fig tree" is a 13 year old brown turkey fig growing behind our farmhouse. We are excited to be planting more fig trees this year to expand the varieties we are growing. We have started propagating our fig trees and have select varieties for sale in our garden center and online.
We got a chance to visit McConnell's Farm in Hendersonville, NC this past Monday. Love what they are doing with figs. Be on the look out for their Fig Festival in September. I'm hoping to sneak away and attend!

Granny loved figs. I loved picking them! And eating her preserves of course. Now I love figs straight from the tree. So glad I planted our orchard seven years ago. And even more thrilled that we are expanding this year!
